Temple Bruer takes the global environment seriously and has made carbon neutrality by 2012 a key goal for both the company and the product.  In order to achieve this a carbon audit of both the company and product has been undertaken which will be made an annual activity. Steps to reduce our carbon foot print have been implemented most notably the adoption of O I’s award winning light weight bottles which has seen a 15% reduction in emissions associated with the product. The company is planning to ramp up its carbon reduction scheme in the coming years by investing heavily in renewable energy, implementing significant improvements to the refrigeration system, further revegetation and capturing carbon dioxide from fermentation.
